In accordance with the Palm Beach County School District , the following dress code policy will be in effect at the start of the 2007-2008. ALL students are expected to return at the start of school in the mandatory style of dress. Any student out of compliance will be asked to change and subject to disciplinary action.
SHIRTS
Solid colored, polo style, collared shirts with two to three buttons maximum, no zippers, and no shirts without buttons, in the following colors: Royal Blue, White, Gray, and Navy. Shirts must be tucked in. The only items allowed to be worn on top of the collard shirts are for inclement weather purposes, and must be in accordance with the acceptable inclement weather policy (i.e. sweatshirt, or jacket) all other clothing items are a violation of dress code.
PANTS
Pants must be worn at the natural waistline with a belt. Acceptable styles of pants include Docker style full length pants, knee length shorts, knee length skirts/no slits, and Capri pants in the following colors: Khaki, Black, and Navy.
SHOES AND BELTS
Any closed toe shoe is acceptable.
All students are expected to wear a belt. Belts must be visible when the shirt is tucked in.
PLUMOSA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL NO'S
NO shirts or items over the collared shirt. Jackets and sweatshirts are permitted during inclement weather.
NO shorts or skirts above the knee.
NO pants, skirts, or shorts made of denim material regardless of color.
NO flip flops, or open toe shoes.
NO bedroom slippers
NO frayed or torn pants or shorts (Torn clothing is not permitted)
NO hats, caps, bandanas, or head coverings (except for religious purposes)
NO other accessories or jewelry that my pose a safety hazard (THESE ITEMS WILL BE CONFISCATED)
