PL-1  Boundary Study P-1 Amended (Palm Beach Public Elementary)

• Study P-1 was recommended to the Superintendent on October 29, 2009 with a 12-3 vote by the Advisory Boundary Committee.
• Study P-1 Amended was approved by the Board on January 13, 2010 at the first reading and tentative adoption.
• Proposed changes provide relief to Palm Beach Public Elementary School and includes adjustments to Meadow Park, Palmetto, Roosevelt, and  Westward elementary schools:

                                          i.    Moves SACs 154, 155 (part), 400 (part) from Palm Beach Public Elementary to Palmetto Elementary.  (Study P-1 Amended removes the neighborhoods of Prospect Park and Southland Park from the original Study P-1.  These neighborhoods will remain at Palm Beach Public School.)   

                                         ii.    Moves SAC 142 from Palm Beach Public Elementary to Roosevelt Elementary.

                                        iii.    Moves SAC 382 from Westward Elementary to Roosevelt Elementary.

                                        iv.    Moves SAC 185 from Palmetto Elementary to Meadow Park Elementary.

Current 4^th grade students would have the option to remain at Palm Beach Public, Palmetto, or Westward as 5^th graders without transportation;  

Current gifted or strings students in proposed change areas have the option to remain.
