AC4 - High Touch High Tech In-School Field Trips
Description
Consultant shall perform the following services: In-School Field Trips that are a hands-on science enrichment program that transforms the classroom into a Living Laboratory. Students can become a real scientist and learn by doing actual experiments. The Programs are aligned with National and State Standards in Science and help build confidence for standardized testing. They offer problem solving skills as well as build self-esteem and a positive regard for learning. High Touch High Tech programs provide students with the opportunity to interact with their peers, share ideas and contribute to inquiry based discussions that support the way in which students naturally learn. Funding will come from fees collected from the parents of the students who attend and will serve 17 elementary schools.
Recommendation
I recommend award of the Consultant Contracts with High Touch High Tech totaling $107,600.00 effective November 19, 2008 through June 03, 2009 and authorize the Superintendent and Board Chairman to sign all necessary documents.
