CS1-Renewal Charter Application for Palm Beach Autism
Description
July 16, 2003, Palm Beach School for Autism was granted a five-year Charter to serve students ages three (3) to five (5) years old and have the diagnosis of "Autism".
June 4, 2008, the School Board approved the Amendment to extend the current Charter to December 30, 2008.
The Governing Board of Palm Beach School for Autism submitted the Renewal Application to expand their school from a Pre-School through 5th grade.
The District Reviewers evaluated the 21 sections of the Palm Beach School for Autism (PreK through 5) written Application to identify areas that, "Meet the Standard", "Partially Meets the Standard", or "Does Not Meet the Standard." The 21 sections were rated, "Meet the Standard" (see Exhibit "21 sections").
The Data Panel Updates for Palm Beach School for Autism are attached.
A copy of the Renewal Charter Application for Palm Beach School for Autism is on file in the Board Office for review.
Recommendation
I recommend that the School Board approve the Renewal Charter Application for Palm Beach School for Autism Charter School.
