Minutes: 

Mark Mitchell reviewed the Proposed Inspector General Hiring Timeline.  Board Members discussed and were in consensus for Option B.

Mr. Mitchell summarized the Case Study and Assumptions/Discussion Questions and questioned if Board Members would like to cover travel expenses.

Board Members were in consensus to not cover travel expenses for the final candidates.

7. Discussion Item - Setting Goals and Objectives - Robinson

Minutes: Dr. Robinson asked that the Board schedule a workshop to set goals and objectives for the Superintendent and General Counsel.  Board Members were in consensus to first schedule a workshop to discuss the Vision and Mission Statement, then a workshop for the Strategic Plan and finally a workshop to discuss the goals and objectives for the Superintendent and General Counsel.

Motions:

Because the application has a rating of "Partially Meets the Standard" for Sections 1 and 18, and has a rating of "Does Not Meet the Standard" for Sections 3 and 17, I recommend that the School Board of Palm Beach County deny the application of Cornerstone Academy for High Standards, Inc. and authorize the Superintendent or his/her designee to sign all related documents.
