PA10 National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week

Description
The National Coalition for the Homeless and the National Student Campaign Against Hunger and Homelessness are sponsoring National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week.  The purpose of National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week is to raise awareness about homeless assistance service providers and community service opportunities for students and school service organizations.
 
Throughout the year, and especially during the upcoming holiday season, many organizations throughout Florida provide shelter, supportive services, meals, clothing, and other essentials to those without a home.  In this season of generosity and sharing, citizens of the state of Florida are encouraged to commit themselves to promoting compassion and concern for all, especially for the poor and homeless.

Recommendation
I recommend the School Board of Palm Beach County proclaims the week of November 10-18, 2012 as National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week.
