School Board Meeting 04-17-13 at 5pm
Agenda Item #30

AC 1 - Florida State University Subcontract R01552 - Amendment #1

Florida Atlantic University (FAU) was awarded a National Center for Education Research Grant to study the impact of the Student Success Skills (SSS) Program on academic achievement in 2011.

The School District's participation in this project began with Board approval of a one-year Agreement on December 14, 2011 to be renewed annually during the grant period of  December 15, 2011 through July 31, 2015.

Originally awarded to FAU, continued management of the four-year project is now through the Florida State University (FSU).  Amendment #1 of The Florida State University Subcontract R01552 moves remaining substitute payment funding from last year's (2011-2012) budget to this year's (2012-2013) budget.   The total amount funded by this action is $22,425.

I recommend that the School Board approve Amendment #1 to the Florida State University Research Agreement R01552, effective for the budget period  August 1, 2012 through July 31, 2013, and authorize the Superintendent or designee to sign all related documents and contracts.
