Ms. Stafford reviewed the formal interview process. 

Candidates were brought into the Board Room individually for the interviews.  Each candidate gave an overview of their professional career and was presented with the seven formal interview questions.  Following the formal questions, informal questions were asked by each Board Member.

The candidates were interviewed as follows:  2:30pm - Cindy Adair; 3:30pm - Allen Vann; 4:30pm - Lung Chiu.

Formal Questions:  Dr. Benaim - 1) Please tell us how you would personally justify the need for an Inspector General mission in a large organization; share any experiences you have had in planning, directing and establishing polices relevant to that mission.  Mr. Shaw - 2) Please describe your experiences in performing fraud related investigations and include those procedures that worked best in the investigative process.  Ms. Brill - 3) When making recommendations to correct deficiencies found in an audit, what factors do you consider in the deliberation process; please be specific.  Ms. Brown - 4) Please discuss why an inspector general's objectivity and independence are so critical; what have you done to maintain your own as well as your staff's obectivity and independence?  Mr. Barbieri - 5) How would you describe your leadership style; site one or two experiences that illustrate leadership finesse on your part.  Ms. Andrews - 6) Please describe in detail the process or processes you use to identify waste and oddities.  Dr. Robinson - 7) What knowledge do you have regarding the accreditation of Inspector General operations; would you be willing to pursue accreditation if selected as the IG?
