Beach Community College Information and Course Offeringsor scholarship applications may enhance the student's opportunities for success.
NORTH TECH Offers programs in many technical and career related fields. Students may
attend for a half day session while in high school or as an adult.
COMMUNITY SERVICE Students interested in community service should
contact Mr. Rowe. A reminder to all Florida Bright Future Scholarship applicants (class of 1999)
that 75 hours are needed for eligibility.

Seniors may sign up to meet with the college
representatives
during lunch in the cafeteria
or before school. Juniors will be able to
meet with college reps that visit in the Spring.
Important Notes:
College Entrance Test
Because college applications
should be completed in early fall of the senior year, students
should try to complete all college
entrance testing in their junior year.
Gator News
The University of Florida requires
the SAT II for placement purposes, not for admission.
Seniors should take the SAT
II by January.
The first application deadline
for the University of Florida is in the third week of September.

available in the Guidance Office . The form
should becompleted as soon as
possible and mailed after January 1, 1999. Use the following

Seniors
interested in the Florida Bright Futures Scholarship
Transcripts
(a record of high school grades) and test scores need to be sent to each
school,
when the student applies, at
the end of the first semester, and at the end of the school year.
Juniors
should be researching colleges, taking the
P.S.A.T. and taking college entrance tests.
It is important to visit colleges
prior to making a selection
Information on Technical and Specialty Schools
for post secondary training is available
in the Career Center.
Military
recruiters
are on campus each week. Sign up if interested or call the recuiter
directly.
