1. Integrate a reading time during 5th period with a school-wide reading of same book.	Teachers and Staff	Lesson plans given to all teachers to follow on the four different books selected.
2. Teach reading strategies and integrate into all content areas classes.	Coaches, Teachers, Staff, and outside individuals	During team meetings and on PDD.
3. Promote Reading Counts! Program with all students.	Coaches, teams/ departments and media	Scheduled times for each department to visit the media center.
4. Foster a team attitude that reading is important.	Coaches, Teachers, Staff, and Media	Emphasize reading in classes, team meetings, and lesson plans.
5. Team/Departments visit the media center on a scheduled basis.	Teachers	Follow media center visitation calendar.
6. All students will be pre/post tested using the SRI three times a year.	ITSA and Language Arts teachers will be responsible for testing students.	All students scheduled into computer lab through language arts classes.
7. Media Center enhances literacy culture as a resource for all.	Media Center Staff	Create a "Barnes and Noble" atmosphere by moving furniture, setting up book displays, hosting events, etc.
