Letter from the Principal

Dear Students and Parents,

It is with pleasure that I welcome you to J.C. Mitchell Elementary School for the 2004-2005 school year.  You will find a faculty and staff that are dedicated to providing an outstanding and enriching educational environment for all children.

The staff is continually working to enhance and expand the educational opportunities for all students by integrating technology throughout the core curriculum.  We implement a variety of teaching strategies in the areas of reading, math and science, to meet the goals of the Sunshine State Standards.  In addition to the K-5 program, J.C. Mitchell School offers an early childhood program, housed in the Joanne C. Cripps Early Learning Center.

I encourage parents and the community to become involved with our school.  You may participate at the school center by joining the School Advisory Council (SAC), PTA or volunteering your time and talents to work with our students in the classroom.
