In the fall of the 2006, the Gove Elementary Scrabble Club came into existence, directed by Mrs. Clarice Davis.

While it was initially for students in grades 3 - 6, overwhelming interest from students in grades 1 and 2 resulted in growth for our club, which is now open to students in grades 1 - 6. Students have excelled in their use of strategies, spelling, and vocabulary while playing Scrabble.

This year the club has expanded the focus of the Scrabble game, and club members now play both English and Spanish versions.

The spring Scrabble player's tournament will be held during the months of April and May. Players will compete against each other for first, second, and third place prizes.

The Scrabble Club is under the direction of Mrs. Clarice Davis and Ms. Luisa Velasco.
