Congratulations to our

Career and Technical Education Student of the Year

Senior Sydney Bowers!

Sydney has been and exemplary student in the Multimedia Communications Academy. She has created numerous videos and has entered them in contests such as the Palm Beach International Film Festival. Her most notable is a music video where she wrote the song, sang and played it on her ukulele and created and edited the video.
She does many other things to promote the academy as well. This year, for example she was the spokesperson for the Multimedia Program at our annual Open House. Parents commented after how knowledgeable and well spoke she was.
Sydney was recognized by the Palm Beach County School Board in January as Park Vista's CTE Student of the Year. Next year she will be going to SCAD, Savannah College of Art and Design. We wish her all the best with her future endeavors!

The deadline to apply for the Choice programs is now over for sy18-19. Applicants will be notified at the end of March of acceptance or not.

Note: Students who are coming to Park Vista may take Auto Collision 1, Maintenance and Light Repair 1 or Digital Information Technology (the first core course of the Multimedia classes) as an elective whether they are in the academy or not. Just sign up on your course registration form.

Thank you to Bethesda Hospital for being one of our major clinical sites. They have really come through for us the last few years making it possible for our students to shadow medical professionals in many areas of the hospital. Mrs. Cheryl Roddy and Mrs. Lois Wilson were our guests at the CTE Recognition Dinner and were given a plaque to share with their staff.
