Charles Spirazza

CTE Student of the Year!

Congratulation to Chaz for being chosen as Park Vista's Career and Technical Education Student of the Year. Chaz is two our academies: Automotive Collision and Automotive Service Technology. He has served our Academies Advisory board for several years giving him the opportunity to network with professionals in the field and also to share the student point of view in the monthly meetings. He has high grade in all of his classes including several AP classes. He has already passed several ASE Student Certification exams and is taking more in the Spring. He was honored at the School Board Meeting in February.

Next year he's off to college and may pursue a degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Chaz and Troy Botts won scholarships and trophies at an auto competition at the Universal Technical Institute in Orlando

Mr. James Wallwork

Career and Technical Education Rookie Teacher of the Year!

Congratulations to Mr. Wallwork for winning this award at the Feb 28th celebration of Career and Technical Education. Teachers throughout the district with less than five years in the classroom were eligible and Mr. Wallwork came out on top! He currently teaches Emergency Medical Responders and EKG. He has brought many new clinical experiences to his students and has a very high percentage of students passing Medical Industry Certification exams.

Thank you to Bethesda Hospital for being one of our major clinical sites. They have really come through for us the last few years making it possible for our students to shadow medical professionals in many areas of the hospital. Mrs. Cheryl Roddy and Mrs. Lois Wilson were our guests at the CTE Recognition Dinner and were given a plaque to share with their staff.

Choice Candidates: Are you waiting to see if you got into one of our Choice Academy programs for next year..... watch your e-mail - March 31, 2017. The school district is sending notices to everyone at that time.
